International seminar of ‘Japan-India Economic Relation’: Conducted by EIILM and addressed by Dr. R. P. Banerjee of EIILM and Prof. Hideki Esho, Prof. of Hosei University Japan &Chairman, Japan –India Economic Foundation.
International seminar on ‘Global Impact of Substance Oxley Act’: Conducted by EIILM and addressed by Dr. R. P. Banerjee of EIILM and Prof. Bruce K. Behn, William B. Stokley Distinguished Scholar and president of International Wing, American Accounting Association. Dr. Behn is a Distinguished Professor at the Department of Accounting and Information Management, University of Tennessee.
Soft Skills Training Soft skills are needed to get a job, stay employed, and for advancement in career. Soft Skills are the non-technical skills, abilities, and traits which are needed to function in a specific employment environment. They include four sets of workplace competencies: Problem-solving and other cognitive skills, Oral communication skills, Personal qualities and work ethics and Interpersonal and teamwork skills. A positive attitude and reliability are the two qualities that employers identify as most important when hiring someone for entry-level work.
EIILM provides a specially designed training program for the students in order to improve their employability skills and to prepare them to face the interview boards more effectively. The objective of this course is to provide the student with an integrated module of personality emphasizing those areas which are essential for the overall growth and development of a confident and well-groomed professional. The course helps to bring distinctiveness in one’s personality.
This program consists of a series of training courses that provide specific knowledge about management areas that are vital to the success of modern organizations.
The students learn job seeking techniques, organization and planning skills and tips for communicating with prospective employers. People who have clearly defined, well-communicated expectations find more satisfaction and success in their work.
Graduates in any discipline from any University are considered eligible for this course. Candidates in their final year of graduation may also apply. Having Work Experience is not a requirement for admission to the programme, however, candidates with work experience are welcome.
The Institute considers CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/KMAT/ATMA scores for admissions to its PGDM (equivalent to MBA) programme. Based on merit, candidates who qualify on various parameters (CAT/ MAT etc. scores, graduation scores) will be called for Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Written Test to be held at EIILM Campus and possibly other cities in India.
The admission is based on the following parameters:
Previous Academic Performance– Candidates’ academic performance at the undergraduate level, 12th and 10th levels will be reckoned for consideration for admission.
Written Test– Candidates will be given a situation to assess and give their response. Time allowed for the test will be for a maximum of 15 minutes.
Group Discussion– The group discussion is generally held for about 25 minutes in which a maximum of 10 candidates participate in each group and interact with each other on a given topic. The candidates are evaluated by a panel on their initiative, logical content, group behaviour, communication etc.
Personal Interview– It is a one to one interview between the candidate and a panel for about 10-15 minutes in which a candidate is evaluated on his personality, communication ability, functional knowledge, general awareness, orientation for management course etc.
During personal interview candidate may be asked about his/her background, strengths and weaknesses, career objectives, reasons for joining PGDM (equivalent to MBA) course, subjects studied at undergraduate.

EIILM awards up to 100% merit and need-based scholarships for exceptional students who are financially challenged. Candidates seeking a Scholarship award must go through the selection process.
